So the team lead positions are changing or will be changing at the end of summer, will we have to apply for these new positions? Does this include fresh Leads as well?

personal attacks are so silly here...there is no way here to tell if one worker is 10X another worker...but what is not hard to tell is the distinction between 3 groups of people here...the hourlies tired of getting screwed...the managers pouting about getting treated as bad by home office as the managers treat the hourlies tired of getting screwed....the third group made of those who have been under the spell of management and are teary eyed because their favorite leader is being treated bad by home office...they are like grade schoolers crushing on their teachers..........
To 1zsg, do you think your the only one with 20+ years who that works hard and doesn't call in? Your an idiot. There were many people in audit, cash office, etc. who was probably 10x the associate you'll ever be and they were let go. You're on DENIAL.

That is not how it is. Audit job codes are no longer active and when a position is eliminated pay remains the same. At least under the current plan.
What?????? Do team leads actuallly do audits at your club? Our audits at my club are done by our audit associates that did not take severance pay. They stayed, however had to take pay cuts but are still doing audits (at a lower pay) that are suppose to de done by team leads . Team leads do not like doing audits, nor do they care to know how.

does not matter if the GM has control of staff or not....at least it does not matter in the sense that hard workers would get a better break ...GM is only going to keep those that are good at giving him nice warm fuzzies..if you are not a fav of the GM you are just as apt to be gone as anyone..incompetence and personal agendas rule the day people..heck most of our managers truly could not run the club if not for daily direction from HO..even then if they were told to walk forward and turn right 4 times they could not complete a square..............

Sorry buddy, I know people that had been at Sam's longer than 20 years, they were very hard working dedicated partners just like you. I still keep in touch with them even though they were let go and eventually replaced by people making 1/2 the pay. It's all about the dollars when HO takes the "who stays and who goes" decision making out of your GM's hands.
You people believing this are ridiculous. This could be the dumbest rumor every. No wonder they close clubs. People on here instead of doing their jobs. Maybe instead of worrying about dumb sh-- people say, get out there and worry about what your members say...I have almost 20yrs with Sam's. Never once did I worry about my job. Because I work hard, no call offs and I'm good at what I do. Oh, and I dont worry about what other people say or do...

Only guessing but I believe marketing lead and lead MSS will become one, center and electronics will become General Merchandise, one receiving lead instead of a day/overnight, and PTC is going away. Something is happening to deli freezer/cooler perhaps going to grocery?

I am a team lead and really don't care if my position is eliminated anymore. They keep on adding things they want to be completed and it is hard to do it properly . The clubs are already are struggling with making the clubs ready for business. They cut audit team and add the audits to the team leads, and clubs are having a hard time getting them completed in time. I really do not know what they are thinking on how they are going to dump more on us.
Don’t know how much more they can do. Thus should be very interesting for all leads.
