It took me leaving this awful place to realize how much more I'm worth and how much better I deserve.

The IT person that they hired at my old school was worthless. Who would work that job when you can make tons more money elsewhere in the tech industry
Let's be honest, most folks working at DCEH are somewhere between useless and mediocre employees. Unless they're working in IT, they dont have a ton of options.

Funny I was waiting to see what if any they would reduce tuition and focus on career services and that didn't happen so the edmc lack of rti is still in play.I'm glad ,so glad that I left Satan's den finally I can sleep

I'm sure management would rather staff and faculty left voluntarily. it relieves them of having to administer burdensome severance pay.

Don't give me the "those of us who care" bs. I cared very much. The students are the ones that are getting totally taken with the lack of support in all areas. The students that these schools are attracting need much more support. Check out how many GEDs VS high school diplomas they bring into the schools. I saw poor families with little kids waiting to be signed up in programs that offer no job prospects (but they like to play video games, so why not go into that program, or I take selfies so I think photography would be a good program) I am happy to be gone, but don't ever state that people that have left don't care.
Exactly, finally someone with good advice for the people who just complain about their jobs. If you are so unhappy and hate your career, managers and students...please move on. Go find something that gives you passion and makes you smile again...and get out of the way of those of us who care. But BTW...the grass isn't greener elsewhere. I talk to our adjunct faculty teaching at other campuses and everyone has cut back hours and pay is low. The entire college model has changed. Students working full time, living at home, demanding more interactive classes and on-line options. For a generation living on Youtube you either change to meet their demands or die a slow antquated death. The Art Institutes use to be so in touch with business trends and their student customers, now with this top down model reaction is slow and usually not market specific. I had hoped the last years of EDMC failures would have taught the Dream Center something. They better start reacting to this new generation or their investment will not rise again. Pun intended!
I also walked away. There are companies that actually treat their employees well. DCEH has a hiring freeze so they can recoup some of the money they are losing. They are hiring students to do the jobs that a professional should do. They just confirmed my feelings about these large companies that use Christianity as their guise. Richarfartsome throwing a hissy fit because he doesn't want to follow the rules.
