No surprise there. Just one big mess that place with people who don’t know the oil business.

Aye top boys in Aberdeen. Proof is in the pudding and wherever you go in the oilfield internationally you will find lads from Aberdeen in high managerial positions. I myself was a high level manager for 20 years and grew up and learned my trade in Aberdeen

Was talking to a headhunter this week and he tells me ex Baker managers from U.K. are in high demand overseas and are picking up high profile all expenses paid expat roles in UAE with free flights for all the family twice a year.

Apparently the Emirates recognize the strong management culture in Baker and its highly regarded

Told me the reason the Norwegians are now being used in U.K. is simply because they can’t compete with the salaries being offered to the Scots guys in Dubai

They are still hiring so keep your eyes in the job boards

House prices and rents are expected to skyrocket with the return of oil workers to the granite city. Time to invest and buy land to build for the future

I bought 10 acres out on Deeside for a knockdown prices and am building a luxury mobile home park for people to rent. Got the land at a knockdown prices and you can get high quality mobile homes from China at great prices

Does anybody have any good contacts in Baker to talk with regarding the current opportunities they have? I hear GE is going to invest in an expansion strategy which is great news

I am a mud engineer with 25 years experience so who should I talk with ?

Thanks

Had 3 job offers this month already and one from Baker which is the more attractive offer as they pay the higher salary and the pension is very good. Gave me until Monday to decide

Great to be going back to work again
