Founders Day Message - What’s missing

Disappointed in the Founders’s Day Message.

1) No mention on plan on stemming customer defections, we are bleeding!!!

2) No mention how we are dealing with autonomous vehicles, Uber, and loss of vehicle policies in be future.

Where’s our game plan, Mike?

I was only there for a year but I thought founders day was weird. There is no reason to move people to a hub, then fly them back to Il for a celebration of founders day. Old company thinking. This kind of thing works for a small company, but not one the size of SF. The company leaders need to understand that they need to change, but I think most are just waiting to cash out. 'innovation executive' HA!

I was reminded to wear Red today but I wanted to wear black. But I forgot all about it because we got nothing more than a lame message about how we have to be leaner and meaner to compete.

Good luck with that! I checked out along time ago.

Lets face it, we are losing this battle, competitors are winning and scarfing up our employee's along with their wrath. The ship is sinking fast. Happy Founders Day!

I worked for State Farm for two years after coming from another company. I left State Farm in April. I found Founder's Day creepy. Glad to be away from State Farm and Illinois.

They are not going to touch the pension plan-that is similar to stupid rumor that the CEO is going to be fired at the end of the year, or the quarter, or month or tomorrow.....

When I started some 30 years ago founders day was a big deal. We would work half a day and then off to a park with catered food, drinks, activities and prizes. We are now sent a form letter from our fearless leader, what a joke.

At least it didn't have the angry undertones of his "I'm not going anywhere" speech a couple of months ago. And it was good he could lower himself to address the peasants again. Those were the highlights of the speech.

There was zero substance to his pre-recorded message-- a video as our Founder's Day Celebration! Of course, any reversal on this Tippy tradition of not spending jack squat on Founder's Day activities would be in very poor taste considering the layoffs and relocations. My guess is his vision consists of IP protection and licensing, brand licensing, and aquisitions outside auto space. Reliance on organic growth is over.
