Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

2nd VSP This year in FL

2nd package offer this year. Only difference is the company stated if they do not get enough to voluntarily leave, then involuntarily reductions will be needed. So, if you see they are threatening jobs in hope of getting people to leave to replace with contractors. They will not tell you how many they need. They do not want you to know. Why? Either it's bs or hope to not pay bonus and cash and just lay you off. It's a dirty game, and viscous cycle. Then all who were approved were told 4 days before they last day. Oh and they will not approve your sick days to use and waited till last minute so if you had over a week to use your days. You lose them and company finds another way to take anything they can from you. That's why it is hard to feel valued or even respected as the people are leaving on good terms. Why Centurylink? It's dirty and these are good dedicated employees who you asked to leave and they said yes. So u send them packing like they were fired.

Yes they are sick days, pto, or floaters. It's not stealing I was stating they are just wrong how they handle things. I'm out anyway, took package and walked out with my head high today. Next chapter, glad I got out of the circus.

They're not "Sick Days" Dolt. The person called them that. they are called "Personal days" PTO to be used for sick days appointments and whatever you deem necessary. You were given them as many of your Holidays were removed . dishonest and stealing yeah I get it some of these responses WREAK of management or other. your personal days are your to use as you see fit .

Sick days are for being sick. Using them as vacation is dishonest and stealing.

What a shame to work at a greedy corporation. No bonus or investments but top execs made Millions! In class action lawsuit claims they have no customers! Cut bonus a week before Christmas! Fire long time employees like they committed a crime! It's very sad and they don't follow the unifying principles!
