Agreed @1acr. As for Infineon, it already has swallowed at least $20B in mobile losses on top of its price tag. Mobileye/ADG will never pay for even 10% of its stupidly high price.
Altera was expensive, yet will pay for itself over time with ongoing, stable revenue. But don't expect ALTR technology to be integrated with INTC technology in your lifetime. Intel simply doesn't know how to do that. Never did, never will.
That's how engineers in US become worthless.. when $$ is spent elsewhere and offshore. Buy American and Hire American!
Surprised that no one from the ex-Infineon team comes out and passes the blame to the US management, and claims how smart they are.
