Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Bye bye

Hear that most cuts are on our Sears side and nothing on the Kmart side. Looks like we are shutting down first. Bye bye Sears!

Every Kmart store without AP? 45% of Kmart stores have either dedicated AP staffing with an APM and APAs or just an APM. Another 15% have a Multi Unit APM they share with one other store. The other 40% are covered by an Area Manager of AP.

@U2qQdZZ-2mx% I agree with you 100%. I work at Sears and they always screwed you guys first and now it's Sears turn. By the way our Sears store is closing.

whatever cuts, changes, or new policies come about they always start on the Kmart side. Every single cut, every single elimination of leads, every single store without an AP, every single key carrier acting as a manager without the pay, every single jewlery lead cut etc. has already happened at Kmart. Get ready it gets worse.

Kmart has been treated like the unwanted stepchild when they decide on which stores to close or what positions to cut in those stores.

To be fair, Kmart has been absolutely decimated in recent years. Decimated. Don't know what the future will bring but overall Sears has been treated much better than Kmart so far.
