Thread regarding Dean Foods Co. layoffs

Milking the business to last drop

Dean Foods' stock plunges toward 7-year low after J.P. Morgan turns bearish.

Folks hope your not F———ED! You better have a bug out plan, and start before your identified as Dean trash as the place closes down, they changed the game so that they get paid regardless of stock price. My last day was today. Start my new job Monday.

I started this post about 11 months ago, caught up with old friends last weekend inside scoop is they have to cut 100 to 150 million in cost. Majority of that will come from personal layoffs. This should be completed by the end of year. It’s still a good time to be a hard worker, I was pissy, but right.

Ken? One of the biggest dangers with a cracked rim is a tire blowout. This means the tire fails and explodes while you are driving. A blowout can cause you to lose control of the vehicle, which can potentially cause an accident harming you or those around you. To prevent a blowout, be conscious of how your vehicle is driving and check to make sure your rims do not have cracks in them. Got it!!!

Yes, I saw the news, I would like to better understand how we are taking a closer look at our current portfolio, including all of the investments, major assets and partnerships against our strategy communication to the Board. What partnership or JV’s? Share it if you know.

Boss told me to do WHATEVER it takes to make the months of April and May look as good as possible so whoever is looking to buy us can see as good deal as far as the financials go. Books gotta look better for Q2. I haven’t spent any money for months, have delayed maintenance, parts bins empty, open positions in maintenance not being filled....down to selling boneyard equipment and sc-ap metal. It’s time for an airdrop or we may die on this hill. Please sir send in the reinforcements..

Plane and simple left meeting told not to buy ANYTHING till after new year. Boss said we got our butt kicked after a call and were running out of time. What does that have to do with keeping the plant running? I’ve worked here almost 17 years and it’s turning into a mess under corporate. Thanks

It's happening very soon everywhere, every level, every location. They will be coming looking for heads to make Q4. It's so disgraceful that Wall Street does not dig deeper into the practices in place to hit those numbers. We do so much out of compliance to make numbers...Finance runs Dean, not the folks who know the business.

Thought I’d give it a shot to see if anyone fills good about working at Dean. Is there anyone that feels better about Dean than they did six months ago? I personally go back and forth with my emotions, I have worked here along time. Some days I want to throw my hands up and quit. Others, like today I feel a bit more optimistic. I’ll say this, it’s exhausting.

What happens when a company files bankruptcy? Do I loose my benefits? Can I draw unemployment?

First of all, *you're. Second of all, where a person has worked does not automatically label them as anything. That's ridiculous.
