Severance Agreement Binding?

I approached the class action lawsuit, I undoubtedly have a case against Nike, and the lawyer told me that the severance agreement was binding and would hold up in court. She mentioned that they are turning a lot of people away due to the severance agreement. Couldn't they argue that it was a signing under duress? After all, I had to support my family until I found another job.

As a woman, I was "promoted" to the same job as two men (doing the same job and better work product), didn't get the title or the pay and it can all be corroborated.

Thoughts?

If you were discriminated against age, gender, national origin, or any protected class. Call BOLI ( Bureau of Labor) file a discrimination complaint and you’ll pay ZERO. Just be patient with the process! They do their job very well. Just focus on facts!

Depends. Of the 1400 in the layoff most don’t have a case. But if you have paper trails and corraborators that can speak of specifics to how you were mistreated then you absolutely have a case. One that is just and winnable. If you can articulate why you were specifically wronged then go for it. Nike is powerful but fallible. Human beings made the decision to let you go. Specifically you. So they had a reason. As Nike breeds and fosters a culture of s-xism, ageism, nepotism and harassment, and it has been exposed by sources including New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the local Oregonian, you have a case if you can show wrongdoing.
