Talking with several friends from big companies in San Diego I learn that there is something going on in regards to the people from Qualcomm, Based on HR, they don’t recommend to hire anyone from Qualcomm!! I was in shock !! Seems like they know about the people left behind and their work ethics. Very good for them bad for the left behind.

Can you tell us what the percieved bias is?
arrogant, big headed, talkers instead of doers?
This is true, we (at my company) were notified by HR to try to find candidates not from Qualcomm however they never mention “do not hire”. I am try to stay away from QC employees as the good employees already left.
This post is ridiculous and not true.
Go troll somewhere else.
Engineers shouldn't worry too much (unless u r too old) but QC managers are gonna face difficult times.
Well that's fascinating Nancy, but I know multiple people that have been hired already. Doh!
I'm the CEO of that biotech company and your fired for blatent discrimination and general stupidity.
Agree with Op, I am a manager at a Biotech company and I am not hiring anyone from
QC. I don’t want them to $hit the company like they did when I was there. Also I am passing the voice to other companies to do the same.
In my experience It's about who you know first, and what you know (or where your experience comes from) second. Get in touch with those that have moved on from the Q is probably the smartest thing you can do.
Assuming this isn’t a joke — sounds like your “friends” found an easy excuse to turn down your request for an interview
