Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

layoffs when - End of September or post 1st Oct

As it turns out, the mass (read mass) layoffs will likely happen post handover as liabilities would be on refinitv books. they may forgo some severance package. The exercise has already been done and all errant / disliked are earmarked. All the dumb heads will survive, workers good or bad will leave.

Thats the irony.. only lowly suffer not the aristocrats.. need to parade these f---ers management naked and write on their face what have you f---er ashole done in last 5 years.. except for presentations and meetings.

dears I am from F&R only yes on the lowly side.. typing in office on my office laptop. The atmosphere is gloomy with most of the staff either working from home or some where on leave. It is very sad in deed to see many old pals leave ..

Judging by the tone, I'm guessing ur in the F&R arm and u happen to b on the lowly level of things. But look on the bright side if ur in the Segement that is waiting to b handed over u still got a paycheck or 2 coming. there are those where TR is already cutting cuz it's slated to b a hit in their books and they aren't waiting. it's not always about u Finance and Risk ppl. oh pardon I mean refinitiv.

Are you saying this as someone involved in the process, or are you speculating. Note: I don't think you're wrong; I'm just curious if this is an educated guess or more.
