All the strike duty SLOBS / SCABS have to find real jobs and live with their mommies. The customers won't have to suffer with poor service and excuses for an incompetent work force.

Soon the trolls will be talking of our impending demise as they suffer unrepresented poorly paid and without retirement. It was supposedly to have happened in 1971,1986, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2016 and a few other years as well. I guess we all have to fear 2023. @hja: I can’t see a contract extension as being negative. It was going to expire in a little over a year anyway, so if someone isn’t ready to retire 5 years from now they certainly weren’t ready one year from now. Someone is going to lose what? Whatever it is they lose it’s better to lose it in 5 years than 1.

An extension means no changes to terms and conditions. It can be a good thing or bad thing. It can be good for the company as it prepares itsself on what it currently important and also prepare themselves of what can come in 5 years since it is 4 years on top of the one year. It can be bad for union members who will not be ready for retirement or need to continue to work but have everything they need taken away. Either way, this can play out in many different ways in 4 years. Someone is going to lose and it definitely will not be the company. Even if it means selling off that piece of the business in 5 years time.

It’s only good news if the terms are favorable.

This is really good news. Let’s face it, the Company has a lot of work to do and doesn’t need a strike to interrupt it.
