If what I'm reading is true, we are finally going to drop the efforts to buy NXP.
I hope this is true. This whole saga has gone on for far too long.
Maybe, just maybe now we'll be able to focus on important stuff once again. And if we do that, we don't need NXP to keep us afloat.

@1ypu, no :-) With Q, N had planned where to fire. Without Q those corners are redundant anyway. In other words, N will axe there as well. 2B$ won't be enough - RC's bonus -if Q happened- had been 1/4th of it ... 500M$ for 60+ year old man. With that thousands of jobs could have been secured..

Well, the sanctions planned for the takeover will be implemented anyway.. Layoffs are coming. The depts which were planned to slaughter for takeover, which will be axed. 10-20B$ buyback will happen (10B$ already approved by BoD). Q stock will drop in short term. The fastest way to cover such short-term shocks, apart from buybacks, layoffs. They spend money to cover the stock and you have to pay for it. Game is not over, baby.
