Fourth quarter 2018 will be the last for this year. Less then 150 from KC and around 60 from AL. Michigan office to close 12/30/2018, most will be let go with the exception of those staying until 12/1/18. Managers will be kept on as remote employees.

MI closing by EOY - confirmed?
850 people have been laid off so far. If you read this statement on SS&C's website, Bill Stone thinks DST had 3,500 empty seats. Do the math.
“When you look at how do you wring costs out of places, you don’t have to work very hard,” said Bill Stone, CEO of Windsor, Conn.-based SSC Technologies, on June 13 at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference, according to a replay of the presentation hosted on SSC’s website. He noted that DST had 3,500 “empty seats,” which he described as “ridiculous.”
“What are they going to do, a job fair or something? What, are they crazy?”
The CEO said in a free-flowing question and answer session that he “hated” letting people go and didn’t want to work with people who liked firing staff. But at the same time, he emphasized that executives “really are focused on numbers.”
“If we have a job and we have work to do and somebody likes the pay and we like them, well great, that’s what it’s all about,” he said. “But if we don’t have any work, then we ought not be having a bunch of hangers.”
Does the 60 employees from AL or Kansas involve anyone from the call center?
They want a presence in Boston, not Quincy. Bill wants SS&C to have name recognition all over the World....it is now a 6 billion dollar company in over 3 years.
Yes moving in with SS&C makes sense. Anyways they are only moving the employees that remain...which should be way less next year.
No way, SS&C milk st office is already occupied by the other SS&C affliates so DST will need to join them. Saving $ is the key. Closing the quincy office makes sense.
quincy office is cheaper real estate. milk street office space is $$$$
I heard the opposite, Milk Street Boston coming to Quincy. Can anyone confirm?
Yes they allow you to work remotely but every once in a while you have be at the office. The smaller offices will definitely be closed and consolidated with the ssnc offices. Uk/Boston/Hong Kong offices will all be moved to one location
What? Remote work? Does anyone know if they actually allow that?
Most of the offices within the same area will be combined. The smaller offices will close and people will either work remotely from home or move to the SS&C offices. Sadly this is just the beginning.
Any word on the Lawrence, KS office?
Any word on the Canton office??
The only office closing this year is michigan
Any word on possible albany office plans this year (like a closure)?
That s---s for Quincy office. Traveling into Boston to Milk St is a costly commute.
Quincy office will move to SS&C's Milk street office.
Any layoffs in ALPS in Denver?
What about the Quincy office?
I heard the same, KC resources will be Mostly HR. Maybe it’s not too late for me to transfer over there!
