D Rate has pension, makes $20k more a year base.

T Rate couple of the t rates have a pension the rest do not. We make $20k less base and we have to put $60-80 a week in 401k to even come close to 8% for retirement

Both pay scales have the Cadillac Crap healthcare plan but the d rates can afford it more.

Conclusion- It’s just another fly by night job not a career. Just has a cool name and a legacy that faded into the rubber maid receptical.

The skilled T-rates are making well over $30.00 hr. (and that's very competitive in this area) and even those that have left recently took jobs making less . I've never seen a T-rate asked to do more than any D-rate. I'm sorry if the union and co. told you they'd adjust the pay scale.... they did for the hard to fill skilled trades and machinists. Maybe you misunderstood I'm not sure that's why it's always best to get things in writing. There's a lot of jobs out there and you're clearly unhappy... stop making yourself sick worrying and complaining you'll never be happy here at GE. Everyone deserves to be happy and that's your own responsibility not the co., union or coworkers.

It's so confusing to me why the these T-rates excepted a job offer fully knowing what they'd be paid along with the benefits. So many just badmouthing the Co. Along with their coworkers. I personally would have never excepted a job or offer like that, but they did and now the want to b--ch and moan everyday. Doesn't your word mean anything to you? In your interview you said you were fine knowing about and would except the dual rate pay scale. If it's something you can't live with now move on and prove to yourself and everyone else you can do better. We're here to congratulate you if you succeed please let us know how you make out.
