Good Morning, did you go to Sears today?

One point in Sears favor over Walmart: much lower probability of being run over by an electric shopping cart.

All of Sears products are not made in the USA. I'm literally looking at a patio set that has made in China written on the side of the box.

Well, at least we know the corporate cheerleaders haven't been laid off (yet)

Who wakes up and writes a post like OP did? They must order all their junk online and uses the "extra time" to write clever posts and thinking deep thoughts about Sears!

Obviously there are still people shopping at Sears. They were in my store yesterday buying appliances and tractors (and getting MPAs and RPAs too.) There for sure aren't as many as there used to be, but there are still loyal Sears customers out there.

What is dumb about it? It shows what is wrong with this company. There is no reason to go to Sears.

Bring back the axe from Saks as CEO and the "softer side of Sears". Martinez would Have a heart to heart talk with mr. Lampert then take him off the pitching mound pat his butt, tell him good job take a break, and put him in the stands where he belongs. There is a place for Eddy but it is on the sidelines. My wife and daughter went to our local major mall. It was packed. Macy's packed with customers with Macy's shopping bags, and other retailers bags as well. I COULD'NT get the girls to go to Sears. I asked my daughter(D1 college student, junior year)why? "Because dad it feels like the goodwill in there, and their clothing assortment is so "dated", her dad owns three SHOS stores. My kids not spoiled, and works at a nice local boutique clothing store for summer break. I did go to the sears store. No one in it. No music. And it did feel like a Goodwill. Macy's had cool little popup stores that consumed 150 Sq ft. The Aviance was intreaging, compelling and invited you into the store footprint. By the way no glomppy shop your way type signs to muddle up "the shopping experience" in those other stores. My SHOS stores are up 13%, and16% and other mover and shaker owners in my district are also up nice comp numbers.

I would suggest a place few people would think of; and probably closer, A Family Dollar of General Dollar; which are outlets where not all products they sell are a dollar or less; yet include many name brands at reasonable prices.

People would say that if…

  • Sears had a strong national marketing campaign; particularly targeting youngsters and assuring them they have the latest fashions made with the highest quality material

  • Sears reassured customers all of the products they sell are made in the U.S.

  • Sears informed customers they have a no questions asked return policy

  • Sears kept all of their sears and Kmart stores well maintained and hired only the best qualified contractors to maintain them

  • Sears offered additional services using only qualified professionals to repair warrantied appliances and other products

I did because I need underwear and my hubby needs undershirts and Wal Mart is a 30-minute drive instead of 15.

The only reasons I ever went to Sears were for Kenmore appliances and Craftsman tools. Linens and towels were JC Penney’s. Clothes - anywhere but those two places.
