How long does it usually take to receive severance payment after being laid off?

Last Friday, but when did you sign?
They are paying out each payday, so assuming you get it in early enough, it could be the next payday. So right now you're looking at Aug 10th or 24th. You can actually call peoplecenter and give them your empid and they can tell you the date it's scheduled.
about 30 days after the receive the signed contract saying you won't sue them
