Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Bye State Farm

The best thing that ever happen to me was getting laided off at State Farm. Enjoyed the time off stress free from such a toxic environment. Now I'm at Country companies making close to my pay and loving it. The environment is so different, the main part I'm really enjoying is the lack of stressful days. Good luck Farmers. To all those who get cut once your back at work somewhere else you wont miss the farm and all the meteric driven crap.

"Leaders who don’t listen will eventually be surrounded by people who have nothing to say”

They don't listen because they don't give a rat's behind what we say anyway....saying anything about anything is futile, it falls on deaf ears. Oh and god forbid you say anything negative about any thing or anyone at all, you have signed your death warrant.

Toxic work environment is an understatement, it's worse than toxic , it's soul s---ing. It makes you hate yourself and the world on a daily basis. It crushes you because they don't listen and yet they expect you to give Remarkable Customer Service, all the while you are being treated like crap.

Rust would have been able to make the changes State Farm needed without destroying the company. His heart must be breaking to see this company destroyed. This is what happens when you put in CEO's that hit the panic button and bring in big consulting firm to cut heads who have have no idea how to run your business. They have no idea about work flow or value . The consulting firm will make their millions and move on to give bad advice to another company. Always the same with that pattern. CEO will move on who are after their big salary and bonus. They could care less about what happens to State Farm..

In my department they keep adding more and more duties to our job description. Every couple of weeks there is something new. It's impossible to keep up with all the changes. But of course we haven't received a dime increase in our compensation for over 2 years. We are not allowed to talk about it either, you know, because it's "negativity" Put up and shut up mentality

If you are good at what you do it is nearly guaranteed that the Farm is under paying you. If you are mobile and can go to a hub , I advise you to look at competitors instead.

Leave the Farm with all of the dead weight employees.

I too left and went to work at another insurance company, where I make 21k more a year. Went from 105K to 126K. It's a nicer environment too.

You got that right Rust was a a level head no knee jerk

This is getting serious wrong people at the top will be the headline

It’s a shame they think they are taking care of the future but damage to the immediate will have serious repercussions long into the future. Agents are going to go ape at convention that will be another headline Agents revolt against Executive that’s the death blow once they get scare and turn it will be SAD. Good luck

Who in the world is running the operations and p&c this has to come to a end. There are some serious issues going on not sure if they don’t care or making to much $$$ but this has hit serious stage. We have to get it together 6 in my unit are interviewing or leaving. I always had pride in my work. If it’s that bad Executive needs to come out and take 50% reduction in compensation, this is so ridiculous we never had these problems under Rust. I would hate to be executive at there agency convention.
