Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Wow

So, we are just a few days away from QTD 07/31/18. 20+ years here. I'm going to miss all the wonderful people I've met and worked with. I never saw this coming. I wanted to retire here. Going to miss my friends and extended family :(

Ksy you are right. I retained many good friends I met at the farm after I left, the best ones. There are many good skill learned working claims, but am glad I stood up for myself and found something else to do. Brighter days are ahead!!

Tomorrow will be my first day not to be handling claims in 24 years. Thanks SF you are such a fine upstanding company, NOT! Cannot wait to find my new opportunity to make a living. Hopefully this time I can find a job with a reputable company that offers stability!!!

There is a wonderful life after State Farm. Right now you are still suffering from the State Farm Stockholm syndrome. Once you get reintroduced back into the real world you will start your recovery

Yes enjoy not having huddles , metrics , etc. I am one of the misguided who opted in - a huge regret. Will hang in as long as I can but not optimistic. In my entire 27 year career I have never witnessed such incompetence and employee dissatisfaction. A once great company is no more.
