A scaffolder salary is much less than a Full Stream engineer

The savings are huge. Get rid of the the Full Streamers to hire more more scaffolders and cleaners.

Rumour is that Wood Group are pulling of the race to buy Baker due to lack of synergy. Baker are insisting on keeping Full Stream which WG wanted to divest so they could have the strategy focused on growing the fire extinguisher, scaffolding, rig cleaning and platform maintenance businesses.

Didn’t go down too well with Lorenzo. Sir Ian says given the ageing offshore infrastructure there is a huge opportunity (more than Full Stream) for scaffolding and cleaning technology and he is totally right. WG make more money that Baker
