This is a serious question! I am guessing the answer is very few. I thought it couldn't get any worse than when Aicha was in charge but I was l wrong. The Asians hate the Germans, ex-Qualcomm ridicule the old Infineon workers and HW dislikes FW dislikes system. Everyone is an architect but nobody is responsible and milestones are more like millstones. Sh-- can filter down but the smell can't raise up as managers are intolerant of bad news. So the charade is played out, everything is ok if we all believe it. Yes we will tape something out to meet the APB goal but nobody expects it to work especially as key functionality is stripped to meet timescales. Today Motorola announced the world's first 5G smartphone, don't expect to see Apple do the same for many years to come.

@3cgi Your lack of communication skills is making your work life horrible.
Incompetents who can't construct a meaningful sentence come here to complain about their work life problems. How did you get hired ? Referral from a buddy or brought over from a failing company.
In. Influx makes my work life horrible.
@2xdq Well, if the Qualcomm rejects stopped making mistakes, the Germans would have nothing to complain about.
I always felt it was a bizarre decision to open a site in SD. They wanted to attract top talent from Qualcomm, but instead they got the bottom 10% that couldn‘t make it at Q. What a money drain!
The one good thing: It certainly helped to bring the Germans, Indians and ex-Motorola guys in the US closer together, because it gave them a common target for frequent facepalming.
iCDG is a sick organization.
Germans don't interrupt, rather they play politics by complaining about mistakes in other meetings.
At least the Germans are able to have a discussion without immediately interrupting others with a „Nonononono you are wrong!!!“ like the ex-Qualcomm a-holes.
New HW lead is very good at attrition, half the guys working under him for Gold ridge left.
Germans are perceived as the weakest link in iCDG. They are kept at an arm's length from actual HW and FW that goes in the product. Their performance on recent projects was an eye opener for management in US. Matlab on chip development is intentionally tolerated because it keeps the incompetents busy till the layoffs start happening.
Infineon Management must have been relieved to dump their low performing unit onto Intel. Now, those low performers have become managers with expertise in only one thing politicizing focal. These managers should be held responsible for shoddy execution and laid off before any IC. Alas, firing squads have gone out of fashion.
You haven't seen anything yet. Wait till the focal/fc-all period begins.
