Anyone know anything about these job cuts and who they will hit? Work in commercial claims so wanted to see if anyone knew who would be hit the hardest. Thanks

Keep your eyes open. After Labor Day the RIF's will start again and pick up momentum. They are looking at all job functions.
With the July Rif, I was told they were targeting another 20% in third quarter. Just based on the timeline, because it take AIG FOREVER to execute...I wouldn't expect a mass action until mid September to October. Labor day is coming up. So if there is not something by mid week...Aug15-17... I'd say it'll be another waiting game. Mid year's are now happening so there may be some one off or performance action....but I have not heard anything else about mass layoff.
I’m in KC SS basically claims so watching waiting wondering what is coming down the old like will layoffs hit our location are we a profit center not sure everybody’s apprehensive anxiety fills the place who really knows what is actually takiing place or happening please post should pertinent information become available
Been monitoring this site for a while now wasn’t long ago latter July that indicated August Will Be A Bloodbath @ AIG as layoffs were imminent across all departments lines of business especially in areas not considered profit centers so far this to my knowledge has not materialized yet - the post read something to the affect that from very solid or sources in the know that layoffs head count cuts RIF were in fact imminent anyone with solid sources or connections please provide any possible updates changes that have anything to do with impending or imminent restructuring leading to layoffs would be most appreciated thanks KC
Well I’ve been monitoring this site for several weeks now saw a thread saying ‘August Would Be A Bloodbath’ this has not materialized wondering if the information was or is accurate and mass layoffs are coming soon or possibly the information was not from a reliable source - the post said it had heard from solid inside sources that AIG was preparing to cut heads across all departments broad and deep cuts in areas that were not profit centers - it remains unclear what is actually going to happen if anything - I’ve seen AIG RIF many amazing people not to mention the really good ones that Just left the company altogether please post any pertinent details or information regarding impending cuts layoffs RIFs thanks 🙏
the only thing I have heard is they are hiring more executives. We continue to be a "top heavy" company. This is part of the problem. Too many executives, not enough worker bees. Customers complain about dealing with offshore teams. These teams are not properly trained and make many significant mistakes....all day, every day. Too bad company thinks expense management is laying off valuable workers vs. cutting back on high paid executives and shipping tasks to overseas teams.
I’m hearing the cuts in my we’re moved to next pay week.
I am in Commercial Claims too...all I have heard is that the layoffs will be widespread and should start in about 10 days....Nice to feel valued.
