You guys are just as entitled as the socialist Alstom scum that has nearly bankrupted this company. When will you guys realize that the Union of 1960 isn't the union of today. You guys built steamers and generators in 2018....the workers of 1960 are the ones who built this company up, not you. Be happy you made it this long. If you are as skilled and capable as you think, you should be able to get an equal job elsewhere...unless you admit that Uncle GE is been overpaying you for DECADES!

Unions are terrible. No young GE talent want to work at union sites because the people are so difficult to work with. That is why you have such sh**ty leadership at Schenectady.
Nobody is saying Immelt, Boltze, Borenstein shouldn't be put in jail. They stole from everybody. Nobody is asking for anyone to give back their money from the past, just don't complain about not having a future.
While you’re at it OP why not tell us what you think of the clown that took well over half a billion dollars while running the company into the ground, almost bankrupting it in the process. One person, over half a billion dollars. Justify that!

Honestly I feel bad for the guys who lost their jobs today, wouldn't wish it on anyone. But the company is in a world of hurt....orders half of just a year ago and Siemens, MHPS going through the same. There just isn't a place out there for these big turbines. Better to move on now if you are young and can get something.
Well i define the pay we receive as a decent living wage. I wouldn’t say we are over paid considering what we do here. You are giving your employer 1/3 of your existence. Regardless of who the employer is. Does that not count for something? We all know what they WANT to pay us VS what they SHOULD pay us. I dont think all of us are entitled i mean yeah theres a lot of people here who even if they were to make D rate money would still find something to b--ch about. I have a lot of friends who lost jobs today. Guys who were thankful for having a job and who came in didnt b--ch or moan they just came in and gave an honest days work. At the end of the day i can only hope some of them guys get brought back but i doubt it.
