Rumor mill is buzzing that more layoffs will be coming down the pipeline soon. How many more people can you fire and still not get the results you want? Stop telling corporate office employees to go work in stores, it won’t help! Maybe hire and train good employees that excel in customer service. Making mandatory requirements for “helping hands” is a joke. Sorry but that isn’t going to help drive sales.

Again, the person who reported this information on here should be the first person to get laid off. In fact, I am screenshotting it and letting KKR know I know for a fact it is HR, most likely the person who pushed me out. Take an etjics course!
The future looks dismal for ASO. It's massively losing ground against Amazon, Walmart, etc. There's no reason to shop at ASO. The stores are not enticing to walk into and when there, you don't even see a reason to buy at ASO. These are the bleak realities that ASO face.
The entire point of this website is to communicate job loss and layoffs. It doesn't matter if they should be doing it or not, help give some heads up.
Not sure who is responding to all this but it sounds like there is an inside person sharing things they should not be. Store closing and layoffs wouldn’t be announced for a while I wouldn’t think. This late in the year they will want to take advantage of holiday traffic and sales. Plenty of time to find another job before it all goes down as long as you get that resume together now and pump it out there. Other retail store would be hiring now and the offices well start looking now cause this is not the best time of year so get your resume out there now before you are completing with your now team mates
When are the closures being announced? Before the holiday season or after. Will it be the same for corporate layoffs as well?
That still remains to be seen, the review is underway. If the location is not profitable then it will be on a list. After that it will be all about the property the store sits on.
How many stores or has that not been decided yet?
It’s going to be both. We only opened stores that we had to this year, meaning we signed the paperwork. Reviews are happening now for store closures. Talent assessment was conducted and that will determine who is laid off in the areas getting more cuts. This will not stop until sales rebound, we have to make money and if we are not then this is how you keep the lights on. Sales reports should tell you all you need to know.
layoffs or store closures?
