Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Are we sure it's done?

With another $50 million announced as a goal in savings by the company, is anybody scared that yesterday was just a preview and we'll see much more today? And not just among salaried...

Should I be worried about going today or was this truly it? Any info would be appreciated.

Feeling sick for days...these posts regarding additional cuts happening tomorrow has brought on more emotion than one can handle. Additional cuts, especially full time hourly cuts, will be detrimental to the parks....especially the zip code I work in. Best wishes to my colleagues, keep us posted tomorrow, as I pray this is a rumor.

Last lay off, SeaWorld called the people in who where off, so i think they are done for now on salary roles. Hourly leadership may come separately. This is what I heard from my old colleges in HR. Anymore layoffs that might happen will be done by Friday. I’m glad I’m part of Univeral in which we don’t lay off our people. Good luck SeaWorld management. The grass is greener on our side.

My guess is 125 layoffs is the number since that's what they officially said. so if you worked yesterday and was one of the 125 you were notified.
