Short sightedness in our ranks has gotten us no where!! Worrying about this weeks pay check over next months is proof of this! Overtime this week vs straight time next month. F---ing off all day to get sat-sun overtime, b--ching about management asking anyone to work more than a cple hrs each 8 hr shift, complaining about not getting paid enough to do what's asked, damaging customer products to make others look bad, not following company quality standards. Just a few examples of the day to day b---s--- that goes on every day now. Rumors over facts, opinions over facts, flat out BS stories claimed to be truth, more proof of the intelligence level of the 301 workforce. When you thinks its worth celebrating that a union brother has impersonated a company official, allowed them to spew sh-- from their lips about fellow union workers, then you are just as bad as they! Im no salary employee, but I don't have to be to realize how many scum bags work in the same building as I do!!! Spew all the sh-- you choose, Im no 301 Hall supporter, but I can tell you that no matter how little they may care or how much they care, none of the current situation has ANYTHING to do with any person of the hall slate! The work load is less than it has been in 10 yrs, why would anyone think they should keep paying people to sit or stand around to do nothing? Granted, if GE didn't buy BS Alstom then we wouldn't have the extra empty factory space, but even if they hadn't bought them, we in Schenectady still wouldn't be at 50% capacity. If ya pay attention to the other large Companies, they too are reducing workforces and factories so as much as GE s---s, so do the others out there for the same reasons. Since so many claim they don't get compensated what they could be making, why don't they go eat those jobs up and brag about all the money they will then make? The biggest b--chers and moaners are those that also complained about working and not making enough. The offer with job code reduction is a $$ raise to every single person still working in 273 and GRC. Regardless if its .10 or 5.00, its a increase. So if your gonna b--ch and moan, at least have your facts straight!!! I have NO choice but to vote yes. Because if NO prevails, then I will have to find a way to feed and insure my family before Jan. 2019. Do what you must, but at least spew facts when trying to convince others to vote your way. There is no further negotiations regarding this, next years national contract is gonna be like slaughter after the majority agreed to the current contract. So those that voted yes to get there over taxed cash payments, can be thanked for getting sh-- for the rest of our GE working lives. Cash today for no security tomorrow!! Makes such good sense!!!!

The OP blew his whole argument in the last 2 sentences....
Remember how hard the Union/Company pushed the last garbage contract? This seems the same to me. Voting NO
Vote yes it closes, vote no it closes but vote yes and it don’t GE owns your union a$$ and you will be running all over the plant and get contacts left and right. It’s a grey area if you vote yes and the company loves and thrives on grey areas.
Don’t trust the hall or GE. Gonna take my chances with a vote of No.
It’s a scam. Vote No
Vote yes....might have a future in Schenectady
Vote no....it’ll close without a doubt
I’m voting Yes! I rather see the doors open for people to stay employed if you vote no you are just completely selfish and don’t care about the wellbeing of hundreds of your co-workers or future generations. This is how a new factory would be run.
Regardless if people vote yes or vote no the company will do what it has planned. If I passes your just buying yourself time. Anyone who thinks that 273 will remain open have false hope. The union is grasping at what they can to remain existing there and believe me when I tell you OP bust your a-- and go above znd beyond your fate will still be the same as we're those that were let go on Monday.
