Do you know if Sam's Club employees can go work for Costco? Also, does this applies to both corporate and store employees.

Costco will not hire you either if you are working at Sams. Have a little common sense
You can work anywhere you choose. Sam's just does not want you to work both. Conflict of interest

Nope. When a new Costco opened 10 miles from the club when I worked there 3 people left for positions there. Probably a smart move.
You never signed a contract, so there cannot be a non-compete.
