People expecting some big announcement are not looking hard enough. Layoffs have been happening nearly non stop for months now. Two there, three here... It's a perfect way to get rid of people without bad publicity and attention.
This will not stop any time soon. The only thing for us to do is be prepared if it's our turn.
If you are still working for West Corporation, or debating whether leaving the company for a better carrier please read my story. This is the first time I’ve come forward with what West has done to me, but I feel the need to make others aware so you can run while you can before you end up in my situation. I worked out of the Appleton, Wi location for west for almost 4 years. I had a situation arise that occurred after the management left for the day in which we were directed to consult with the Senior Management on the floor when a actual manager was not available which I did. I did exactly what I was directed to do by Senior Management when my situation occurred, and was wrongly terminated for doing what I was told. Prior to my Termination I had a squeaky clean record with no pins, or prior warnings, and was an employee with an outstanding work ethic who was very knowledgeable, loved helping others, and took pride in my job always working to my fullest potential taking constructive criticism with a grain of salt, and always improving where needed to be the best I could. I worked under one program since I started in 2014 for 3 1/2 years in which I advanced quickly through all the segments of the program reaching my highest peak being promoted, and trusted to work directly one on one with one of West’s clients directly at a corporate level representing West as a whole. Sadly the client looked into other venues, and the program had come to an end in which I was then place on another sales team loosing my rank, and having to start over in a totally different kind of sale dealing with a totally different type of product/service. I was ranked one of the top 10 sales associates on that team out of 200. Determined to succeed in something new without much hesitation I ranked 3rd on the team out of 200 people my first month.
That explains the cryptic email sent out yesterday......

I answered the survey honestly. If they use that against employees, so be it! If people get let go because of it, well then I guess that would be a blessing at this point.
Same here. Look at it this way friends. If they're willing to send us a survey that has a unique tracking ID and lie to our faces and say it's anonymous, why would you trust them with your future? If they're willing to lie about a survey being anonymous that's just the beginning. It's obvious they're trying to figure out who is drinking the koolaid. Don't count on this as being long term, especially if you have a family to support. It's only a short term paycheck at this point. That's all. Anybody who got out with a severance package hit the lottery.

I answered truefully for the survey knowing there is still a way for them to track it if they want however what is the worse they can do, RIF me? Give me my package because I am sure to quit anyways in due time. Everyone is resigning and for good reasons!
What if I already done the survey? I was being honest with all the questions they have. What's next?
The survey link they sent out has a unique identifier. If one were so inclined they could match the email address with the recipient of that unique link. Tread carefully.
Nothing but agreement here. Sounds like maybe some layoffs in Omaha happening this month?
