Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Dirk's new strategic review

Wanted to share this from another thread. Makes total sense. Thanks for sharing

Nowhere have you read that they are investing in dsd, it ain’t happening! Consolidating ain’t investing, its cost cutting! Only reason they say they aren’t focusing on cost cutting anymore is they can’t! They have us to the bare bones. Territories are too big as it is, reps aren’t even able to sell, too busy merchandising and tweeking CAO. Nobody expected Mondelez to be stand alone this long, expectations were we would be sold. Unfortunately nobility wanted to buy us! Keep believing we are here to stay, just don’t say you weren’t warned!

Food lion pulled all of our endcaps down. Same thing happened to Keebler right before they made the announcement. Game over!

Dirk may be committed but the store's aren't! It's a shame that this deception continues on! DSD is dead!! I'm only doing what I have to until we're done! No need to kill yourself for this deceitful company!

“Our” business model is an advantage to “our” business! Kroger and WM have their own business model, which in the future, will make them more money! That’s the piece people seem to misunderstand! Some

people have said “we” refuse to pay a slotting fee. Haha. We go where Kroger goes! If they say warehouse, guess what?! They sell a lot more than nabisco and they could survive without us, we cannot survive without them though! When dsd contracts end, so will our jobs! I don’t know exactly when, but I do know it will end, and probably pretty soon! Seems everyone is moving forward in that direction.

It ain’t about “us”!!! Retailersonlt care about how much they make, not us!! They will make more when they eliminate dsd!! Figure it out!

Our distribution model is an advantage for our business, and we’re dedicated to winning no matter where our consumers choose to shop. Our DSD capability is a key ingredient and has clearly created separation between us and our main competitors across the key growth metrics of consumption, market share, distribution, and feature and display conversion.

I can order Oreos online from Walmart. More "Fake News!"

DSD isn't going anywhere

Walmart can actually order thru their system and the sales rep was told not to order because walmart is ordering it. The news last week said walmart is putting out of stock on their site for vendors that are not stocking walmart warehouses and fulfilment warehouses because it cost 2 much to ship from suppliers.

Of course they know the rumors,”One Team one dream” remember? The whole point of that was to make everyone feel good about their jobs! Sadly enough just prior to one of the last layoffs they called a regional meeting to do the same and then promptly laid off 1/3 sales force. They don’t want a mass exodus so they will continue to cover up until they have to. To say they are committed to dsd is ok, since they are not he ones calling the shots. Retailers are not committed to dsd and they have already decided. Takes a long time to move to a warehouse model, reason why we see all the changes start to occur. Mondelez too had made plenty of changes to prepare. People are truly niave to continue to deny dsd isn’t ending!

Not so sure he would tell shareholder's of a DSD exit before he tells us.

The thing that I wonder about is why the upper brass has never said anything about continuing DSD when they know about all the talk going around. They have to know about all the rumors and this board, right?

There was no mention of letting DSD go anytime soon. You people are even close....most of you thought this past April then it was June....Then September.....we will be here till at least 2020. Nothing will happen this year!

He said we are going to continue on the cost cutting side also. It was a lot of hope and speculation. Our stock took a dump after the call. It was not what the money changers wanted to hear. Going to invest in DSD? What does that mean? Going to put fuel in the trucks and tires on the sales cars? Could severance be considered an investment since it would make us more competitive and profitable?

He said slot of tough changes ahead on the strategy video. Tough changes means layoffs.

No doubt!! Retailers are pulling the plug, until then, Mondelez will continue to try to mislead all employees, “One Team, One big B.S. Lie”. Mondelez management is simply pathetic! They know the timeline, they have been preparing for it for sometime!
