What the Hell cant use sick time

I barely have missed worked and my sick time was maxed out but I cannot use it. What is this BS. Does it never end for this company. I earned that sick time and now im told no you cannot use sicktime.

Isn't that an discriminating policy? For example I have no parents or children ...I'm not married ..so in effect I can not use this time at all ..seems kind of like discrimination agianst those without any a family or at least what qualifies as family

To 21hf if it's a state law they have to allow you to use the new hrs accrued or they could be sued and fined by the state for violating the law. All an associate would have to do is call the NJ state labor department on them .

To 2 fxw- just because NJ is making employers give you sick time or acrued sick hours does not mean that your employer will allow you to use them until all of your Pto time has been used up and then only use sick hours to care for a sick family member. There are lots of associates who have max hours of sick time but cannot use them for themselves or if they call off sick I agree they should have paid us all out when everything switched years ago but they knew exactly what they were doing

NJ associates will start too accrue sick time again soon. One thing Gov.Murphy did good so far sign into law that your employer has to provide you with sick time. They should have had too pay us out for all the sick and personal time we all had from before they implemented the PTO time system.

I agree Walmart NEEDs to pay us this time we earned Sick and Personal. It is so shady. Alice Walton makes 1.3 an hour. Once again the loyal dedicated associates got shafted.

I am a former employee who took severance pay and lost almost 500 hours in both personal time and sick time. I only got paid for my pro time. Yes, this company set this up when they went into these so called buckets where they separated sick leave, and personal time right before they eliminated some positions, which to date they still continue to eliminate and screw even more partners. Not a damn thing anyone can do about it.

Don’t forget that you can’t use your sick time on yourself. It has to be to take care of a family member. I was also maxed out because I never called off and they went and took that away from me. Just another example of how this company steals from their employees.

You have to use all your PTO before you can use sick time . I don't agree with it, they made that rule when they changed us over to PTO.
