Any news of layoffs in January. We have an all hands meeting today. Wondering what this meeting is about. You never know with this company from day to day. Any info anyone has would be appreciated.

Our store was told a few weeks ago that it is being considered for sale as part of the company's annual property review process and that we should all just ignore the many contractors and engineers that have been coming into our store for what looks like a new residential or mixed use building. If you are in a store and notice real estate and contractor people coming in and no one knows who they are or what they are doing, you probably don't have to wait until Jan 2019 for your notice, you just have to notice.

No need to set yourself up for months of worry and woe.
any guessing right now is purely that, just guessing.
if you are scared you will be on the list and can't stop worrying, find something else and have it ready to go at that time.
