Cannot ask anywhere else - maybe you can help here. Do you know what happens with warranties after the bankruptcy?

All warrenties, PA's, gift cards, severance, benefits, heath insurance and anything else will be null and void and worthless
In Canada Protection Money was null and void when they liquidated. Even if purchased the day before. These were always a scam, and any being sold now are a huge risk for the purchaser.
Will be transfered. Its insured.
When HH gregg went out of business we had protection plans for 4 different appliances. After they closed we received a letter in the mail that our warranty had been transferred to another company. I just used that company for a repair job and everything was fine. I would hope the same thing would happen for sears PA's
Count on manufacturers warranty if you're thinking of buying close out merch. Just make sure you're getting a deal and not buying into hype
Should continue as normal during Ch 11. If Ch 7 begins, all bets are off. The appliance mfr might take pity on you as a goodwill gesture, but no guarantees.
