Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Things are looking good so far

Can it be that we will have second week without layoffs in a row?

Xerox is letting people go weekly. I have access to those on the list. It only becomes public when hundreds occur at the same time. Strategy to address age discrimination suits is two-fold. 1) imply that letter signed at exit prevents lawsuit participation and 2) include low paid offshore Elmo’s who get re- hired via different contractors.

Classic! Lay off your A/R people. Six to twelve months down the road, wonder why receivables aren’t being collected. But, then again, if don’t plan on the company being around in six to twelve months, who cares!

Normal day in Webster then, all those people surfing the net and brushing up their resumes.

There were sales layoffs last week. They were done quietly but there were positions eliminated after they told us they were done making changes in sales and shifting folks to GIS. Some were offered a position within GIS, others were not.
