This just sums it all up

JH “Beacon continues to deliver significant savings and we have embarked on new productivity initiatives to achieve greater standardization and globalization of our operations and services.“. Not hard to read between the lines there now is it...

It most certainly needs to unwind my point is it can do it much more gradually and with smaller increments. We all knew it would shock the market but 1/4 basis is better than a full point slow and steady

The Fed is doing its job to mitigate the big fall coming. By raising the rates it limits the debt risk for people who are spending beyond their means and will be hit hard with the next depression.

"Why can’t the fed raise rates in smaller increments"Because a several hundred years of Economics is dealing with Trumponomics... The economy already rebounded...

-Polices of governments takes effect 1-2 years after their election.

-Fed will be forced to even raise interest rates faster if a 25% tariff is implemented and sees inflation risks..

-And the elephant that we will face soon is the budget deficit due to the tax cuts for the rich and corporations..Guess when will Congress/house realize the fruits of incompetent tax cut? I am thinking early 2019...

Also a good reading for trade war supporters: "comparative advantage trade"

But these days who knows left from right??

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_trade

free trade is predominately advocated by political parties that hold right-wing or liberal economic positions, while economically left-wing political parties generally support protectionism,[1][2][3][4] the opposite of free trade

State Street's problems have nothing to do with the "globalist" vs "nationalist" debate. If only it was that simple....

The company's stock is down almost 30% YTD. Far more than the declines in the stock prices of bank of NY, Northern trust or JP morgan.

Despite all the staff cuts and offshoring of my good US jobs the company can still not grow revenue nor record a decent growth in its profit.

Why is this?

Could it be a flawed business strategy? Excessive compensation of senior executives?

So many possibilities. I leave it to each of you to ponder this question on your own. But be assured---more job cuts are coming and more job offshoring is a certainty.

They’re globalists that’s why. They do not want any one country to succeed. They’d rather everyone be suppressed oppressed and depressed that’s how they want “the masses” . Easier to sink our boat than raise all boats.

Why can’t the fed raise rates in smaller increments 1/4 or 1/2 a basis point? And less frequent it’s crushing ppl from getting small business loans just as the economy was about to rebound. Too soon and too fast and too high. They always do this it’s so predictable

Even more dramatic losses expected today. Fed doing its job to create a recession right on cue.
