Is it just me or is everyone you talk to trying to leave lately?
Literally every other day I hear folks plotting to get out.

Why would someone stay? I would have gladly left years ago if I could have
For years people having been running!
Are you that surprised? This forum is filled with stories of people leaving who saw the writing on the wall, like myself, or the less fortunate that got that mysterious meeting notice in the middle of the night.
Now, with the annual reviews due next month (I believe, or real soon), the Hunger Games shifts into high gear. A meets expectations just doesn't cut it anymore. You get that and you're on the chopping block to be kicked to the curb. Below that and you may as well get your resume ready and start posting it on Indeed, Monster, etc... Below a 'meets' and you get no pay raise, incentive or RSRs. WM HO underpays as it is so if you don't receive those perks, it hits your wallet hard.
The old timers, as I like to call them, stopped caring. They are too old to relocate and a little too young to retire. They are hanging on until the reality of that meeting notice punches them in the face. Realizing loyalty means absolutely nothing.
(That mysterious Outlook meeting notice was WMs way of avoiding confrontation. They sent you a meeting notice in the middle of the night after everyone left for the day. It told you to report to a certain room at a specific time with no reason. You saw that when you came in the following day and you knew what it meant once word got around.)
