50 laid off in Netherlands. Half Nijmegen and half Eindhoven. Identification in Eindhoven hit hard. Layoff also in Austin TX.

Secure ID is something they have no interest in. They wanted to dispose of it during the Qualcomm talks so its not surprising, and is probably being shopped around. Basically it is pure-play Auto and Microcontrollers, except Auto is still a long way off in the distance and revenues will not hit the street expectations. Q3 should be interesting as they scramble to make savings elsewhere. If I were the board, there is no way I would want RC in the room in the Q3 call. Last investor call was a trainwreck. Mention of Austin is made, I am surprised they haven't closed all US engineering operations yet. They have no interest in it so why bother, most of it is below critical mass and the ideas that are being executed are poorly run, stupid, underfunded and understaffed so there will be no success.
Good to hear they start to lay-off useless employees but should lay off more worldwide
So pity, NXP’s management team is so blind! They should lay-off Taiwan FAE team from now because MCU team in Taiwan do nothing but playing video games in office all day long.
Most important thing is each of FAE’s annual salary is over 1M USD per year.
