What's with the "added" Chief of Staff roles in Retail? Never had them before, why add ANOTHER unnecessary position?

this allows VZ to get rid of long term high salary mgmt employees by stating their current job title is being eliminated which prevents any EEOC actions. the new title will have similar duties but the ability to bring in lower cost talent.
