OWBPA and being laid off

If you were laid off, there are multiple laws you should know about. One of them is the

Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA)

As part of the OWBPA, your employer must give you a document that has the job titles and ages of all laid off employees. The purpose of this disclosure is to discourage employers from selecting only older works for a layoff. Since this disclosure might indicate that mainly older workers were laid off, some employers fail to provide the disclosure

If your employer failed to provide you the disclosure required under the OWBPA, please search for OWBPA and lawyers to find a lawyer who specializes in employment law

Since this is a Federal law, it doesn't matter where the lawyer is located; the law applies, regardless of where you live

I didn't receive any disclosure re: this law when I got laid off, did you?

If I didn't get the OWBPA disclosure, others probably didn't get the OWBPA disclosure either

The more I read about these laws, the more I realize my employer did not follow these laws

How can employees share info about our experiences and help each other out? Is there a service we can login and post info to help each other?
