a minor solution, and a way to save the company millions of dollars... let the district managers go, have the stores individually send there daily reports to the main office. since all of the district managers are a waste of the company's money. they do absolutely nothing except get a paycheck and bonus'. the store managers and seniors do more then there fair share of the work, especially since there are so few associates in the stores anyway.

It is a losing cause, hopefully new Interim CEO sees the truth. The corporate environment there is an awful club; they practice attrition, payrate discrimination, gender discrimination, favoritism, etc. Glad I got out when I did. The board needs to get rid of all upper management right down to the directors and start over with a new management team who hasn't hired and promoted their family, friends or favorites who not only contribute nothing to the company but constant conflict and trouble, they don't have the qualifications. Hope MARY AND HER NEW BOARD SEE THIS!!

After over 10 years with them, I was part of the second round to get the ax. I got a week per year pay and shown the door. I think the next round will just see the door. I don't see anymore pay outs. I think they focused on long term, high pay in my round. I'm sure age was also a factor. The company will sell off CTS and Buy Buy Baby. But even that will not save them. They were way to late to change and now it's a company run by 18 year old kids supervising the stores. The culture is gone and so are the customers.

I would be interesting and ironic that Feinstein goes to prison and has Birney Madoff as a cell mate who stole $6 mil from him years ago..

I agree, management has got rich, fat and lazy while the hourlys are the ones who are punished for the executives lack of creativity. Corporate leaders must all go!!! The real question is whether or not the Activists have the nerve to make it happen??

I am very disappointed. BBBY has a new interim CEO but it seems that the so called "shakeup has stalled". My speculation is that the Activists cashed in on option trades and that was all they were looking for. This all said, what was started as a potential shake up needs to continue. There is still dead weight in upper management that needs to be addresses. THE SHAKEUP NEEDS TO CONTINUE WITH A FULL REGIME CHANGE.

A few weeks ago we were told BBB will be closing low volume stores here in the near future. Rumors say 40. Some say 80. But there will be closures soon

I agree, BBBY needs to reduce their S,G & A by flushing the toilet otherwise firing the highly compensated executives who bring no good ideas to the table.

Now that they cutoff the head of the snake (Steve T), the Activists need to go after all the Lieutenants such as the Pres, Executive VPs, VPs and Directors in Finance, Development and Purchasing Departments that are embedded, overpaid loyalists culpable in the scam of milking and fleecing the Company. I challenge the Activists to dig deep in the HR roster and root these people out and give them their walking papers. Moreover, in reading the white paper, I believe there is cause to invite the SEC and Justice Department to review some of possible laws that may have been broken.

The solution to the Bed, Bath & Beyond problem is to fire CEO Temarise

DM will be fielding questions and if they can't answer the question they are to contact Corp. Good luck getting an answers because as well versed as some DM are they have no clue how to do a bridal registry, receive trucks, cip, ring registers, etc. If stores need training for new department supervisors who will be doing that? In the NE there was a mix of support staff let go-customer service, LP, ops. All regional staff is gone or in other positions except the regional manager. Good luck on your next Marty visit when he's asking where's the staff and explaining to him this is the new reality in stores, self service. Very sad because Bed Bath used to be known for their service. This is why I went to the company but times have changed. Not saying some support staff should have been let go but the technology isn't in the stores yet to make them this self sufficient.

Let’s face facts. The stores are broken. Still plenty of Very long term associates and managers exist. Leadership has lost 80% of it’s value in their stock positions. Easy way to buy back some of that stock loss is to lower payroll. How do you do that? Make Bold moves like slashing payroll to sickening levels, close a hundred stores, and keep sending people who have gotten full time and 2% a year down the road. You can hang on and wait for the next ST and MF portal letter which paints a confident and hopeful future or you can get the heck out now! No one is on the sales floor anymore but the LOD I feel badly because he or she has to get 27 TBS orders and 13 Beyond plus sign ups all them selves. Uh oh I think I just heard the UPS driver ring the bell in receiving, there’s a toilet overflowing, the ROPIS gun is beeping, three customers need help, chain store is on hold,4 call outs, the carts are all over the parking lot, and a piece of paper on the floor. Which one should I do first Marty? For the love of God which one ! Aaaagggghhhh

I have ears still within the company ...managers will be the next to go .....hourlys will get promoted to a dollar and keys . if you work hard stop now and find another line of work. trust me I know ...smh bbb was a good company to work for. don't work for any of these companies you will regret it.....old manager who busted his a.....they don't like those who show up and show out ..they prefer the bad attitude team members . trust me come work in Utah youll see....phil doesn't acknowledge his hard workers only those that do absolutely nothing and get away with whatever

I know something has to change to survive BUT cutting hours is not always the answer..Corporate has no clue what we do day to day..customers, tasks ,personnel issues, district distraction..They still want us to escort ,ask every customer what can I help you with and Tasks...Who is doing all this ....Please look at some of your district, regional people especially the ops people who sit, send emails and do nothing to SUPPORT the stores except to tell us to do more ..They would never survive in a store these days.. please don't cut hours

Yes more layoffs are coming .I was a ASM /OPS for Christmas Tree shops for 10 years and was let go. I knew it was coming. Now based on the volume of the store all ASM's and OP's and Planning Managers will be let go and there responsibilities will given to hourly associates full timers and given a dollar rise to be key holders . If your a low volume store the only manager will the SM. That fact the there are losing foot traffic in the southern and Midwest store shouldn't be a surprise , no one knows what's in the store . Bed Bath and Beyond as of 12/15/18 at 11.77 if this go's to 10 there will be no coming back. For assistant managers its a lost cause at best when given an evaluation best 1 of 5 five being excellent and you get a 4.8 you will only be give a 3% rise no bonus even if you get a 5 of which nobody gets. Take your skills and talent somewhere that your appreciated . One more note absolutely no Diversity what so ever at the SM position and up ,None!! at the district and regional , corporate level not one person of color what's so ever in the ten years I've been there and it seems they prefer it that way , its easy to fine out and very obvious and very sad

Wow you’re right!!! Stock is amazing ($13.00 share) breaking numbers ( watch out / down $80.00 from 2014) future is bright and long term!!! With no store closures in the future as well (stores closing left and right just waiting for those leases to expire) yes all those dept manager that did all the work for the lazy ASM that did nothing but sit in the office (drinking coffee) guess you have to work lol. And yes they got better jobs and pay and etc. but what about YOU!! Yes YOU, still there thinking your safe!?!? Think again. Well I hope the best. There are some good ASM AND BAD ONES Just like anything else, yes I’m was a dept manager and was laid off!!! Yes that hurt really bad after a long run... it was back to the drawing board and job searching and guess what I found a job and making more way more and more than bbb, yes I’m thankful and what I have accomplished to get here. You have a chance young Jedi start looking and find something, because being laid off and knowing you are jobless that hurts, family house mortgage etc. we had no warning.... you do, but you still have hope. So I have no pitty for you at all..
