The employees impacted by the layoffs are older with significant # years of service, who are also enrolled in the defined benefit plan.

To be blunt: The ongoing culling of the herd

@5Tdfi - are these jobs that were moved to another state (Chandler, Dallas) or just eliminated?

Does anyone know about NY Dispatch going to India? I heard they have too many regulations and it will be staying put.

Can someone please explain what Integrative Services entails? Details?

Yes, I’m not sure about your Allstate region-but we are hearing from agents across the country re; Allstate’s Integrative Service and push to make this mandatory. Our firm has done hundreds of Allstate loans over the years and we’re hearing from a lot of folks..we’re already hearing talks of a mass exit of agents leaving Allstate. Our industry is taking note, especially after receiving the anonymous Allstate letter showing the financials of this program. We have hundreds of customers that have leveraged a lot and won’t be able to survive giving 2 percent up. On our end and factoring in middle America, the financials don’t make since for a large or mid-sized book. I hope Allstate doesn’t make this move, but we are watching closely in the financial industry and expect to see a mass exit nationwide if this becomes mandatory. I wish you the best of luck

Does anyone know about the SE Region converting agency services to Integrated Services and charging the agent for these services in lieu of office staff?

Pune is doing a horrible job. We are seeing the incompetent of workers. “You get what you pay for”. This decision will come home to roost 4th quarter.

Layoffs taking place for Policy Admin on 4/10/19. At least 15 in the Roanoke office. Happening company wide. All functions have gone to India.

Lay-off at the Jacksonville Florida campus. Moving over 40 jobs to India and maybe more to come.. Very risky move, an unstable country at war with Pakistan. Hope Allstate start selling Indians their supplemental policies.

@VTLJLaD-1sjbn

You are an a--. Completely vapid response quit wasting bandwidth. I’m sick of slackers in this company come work in NY and see what real work is like you Florida or Az or NC Jholes. Everyone is treated same but literally there are managers who do no work and front line employees killing the selves.

That’s like asking if i think the sun will shine tomorrow or if I think that Trump was only elected because of help from Russia.

Of f---ing course.

ATSV definitely will have major cuts and jobs moving to Northern Ireland and India. They are looking at huge cuts in budget to fund some pet projects with little ROI. Has anyone done ROI on Compozed? Relocation strategy will also add to people losing jobs in Northbrook and high levels of attrition will continue.

Agree. Doesn’t matter how many if you were impacted. If you weren’t, you need to have context and perspective, so you understand the risk and employment landscape.

Context. Perspective depends if you are included in that 300 or not.

Context. Perspective. 300 out of 43,000 employees. That’s how this board started on this site.

Allstate has nothing to do with GM.

This is Allstate's board

Post ID: @2njp+VTLJLaD

GM announced voluntary buy outs of 18,000...EIGHTEEN THOUSAND employees. If they don’t achieve sufficient response, it will be followed but layoffs.

This site was established when Allstate announced possible layoff of 300-400 employees.

Context and reality.

To @VTLJLaD-1tve : Guess I'm confused with your statement because Allstate certainly is NOT worth a damn!

I know in the department that I work in we were told that in 2019 we had to go down in count here in Northbrook. The jobs will be transferred to Northern Ireland.

If that’s your approach you’ll be looking over your shoulder your entire career. Yes, you should always keep your eyes open, but you can’t live in fear of lay-off’s. All companies worth a damn make business decisions that result in job eliminations.

by
|
Post ID: @1tve+VTLJLaD

Yes I do. I'm fearful for that. I look everyday for a new job just incase.

Allstate is an organization with 43,000 employees. Of course there will be some layoffs in some part of the organization at some point in the year. They exit businesses that are not profitable,or decided not to be in. They react to downturns in the business (fewer policyholders), efficiency gains (advances in technology/fewer people).

There has never been a year that an organization this size hasn’t done some layoffs. That said, they can be adding employees at the same time, so it can result in a net growth in employees.
