Is no one else angry about the 25k a year pay cut for Solutions Specialists? The new structure is unfair, some people have families and mortgages. I don’t understand the lack of concern.

Whats crazy is that our own store management team didn’t even understand how the new commission structure is all about the bucket money. They were stuck in the previous adds based commission structure thinking.

We were being told “all you need is x many more adds to hit that next multiplayer to increase that check”. Completely out of touch.

This commission structure was designed to eliminate “passive” bucket fillers like post pay plan changes and prepaid payments. It actually encourages slamming of tabs, hums, jetpacks and tmp. Because that is the big bucket money.

Problem is people are burnt out on tabs, they crippled jetpacks with high speed data caps, and hums are worthless unless you are trying to track someone. Tmp is a hit or miss value to customer but extremely expensive.

Verizon has intentionally reduced reps by by this structure and will lose good tenured people.

Honestly it's borderline criminal. But it's absolutely part of their cost cutting measures. They would never dare cut executive benefits so they f--- us over. We had maybe 3 reps hit their sales bucket quota last month and they raised it another 4k for this month because black Friday. Except in the same meeting they said black Friday isn't going to be big for us this year so you have to "make your own opportunities". F--- this company and the greedy selfish c--ts who run it.

Never understood why some of you guys never say the writing on the wall with what's going on now. Verizon doesn't care and never has, Verizon retail is not going to let you retire a retail employee. Every time the comm changes it gets worse and worse, they know they can squeeze you and you'll perform so you can pay that mortgage.

So, does Verizon think this is helping morale? News flash... if a whole store can’t make quota, the answer is not to raise it! This month determines what we take home for Christmas and this company is showing their greed more and more. Using this approach, you will lose Verizon. Sure you are saving money now, but you are losing quality reps and customers.

I went from making 2.5k a month to making 4K a month comm checks on average since the new system started. If you haven’t changed your approach and tailored it to the new system that’s on you

Renewals now count the same as an add because store reps we're adding new lines for tablets, jetpacks etc...when the customers wanted to upgrade from the old devices they already had. You know, false churn...you did it to yourselves. Cheating the system to make more commission on the add when all you deserved was a renewal. You have no one to blame but yourselves so go whine elsewhere!

I'm usually top 3-5 in my store of 15 people, all the tip reps are leaving for other jobs, after they do I'm gonna use the tuition assistance to get another degree then be the new hitter and then GTFO. I knew when this happened that they would get the top people out of the company. Our stores are so understaffed it's not even funny just stressful. New structure if obviously part of that 10bil cuts. Still have no idea how the share holders agreed to this when renewing is the same as an add. Yeah they added PT to leader board but the only people who care about that are sms gms and such, we trying to get paid for our hard work

First you need to stop thinking there's nothing you can do about it. Seek members of your local Union and learn how you and your co workers can stand up against this company. If more workers were Unionized the balance of power would be more in your favor.
