When leaving global do yourself and others a solid please. The management at globalfailure/IBM Junior is the worst I have ever seen in my life. The cancer that is IBM and Gluten Free needs to die here to never be seen again. Is it possible for another company to destroy another company ? Yes and we have seen it here first hand !. Hopefully they leave the microelectronics division and go manage a local McDonalds store because we sure as heck don't want to see them working with us at any other companies when they jump like flees as that big fat boat anchor sinks deep into the ocean of despair. Everybody deserves a job don't get me wrong but...then again some don't. All the lies of global meshed IBM management was and is total anarchy. Lies all the time nothing they say is true. Expect layoffs next year heck I figure January but it might hold out further. Don't let these clowns follow you some place else! It's really bad I hope other companies read this and take it to heart heck post it in the newspaper tell the world.

As one of the posters said, there is no blood left to bleed at GF. What we have here are preparatory steps to liquidate the business. They already got rid of their top engineering talent and problem solvers due higher pay, next will be sell off of assets. If you look at TC's history, the man never built any organization up, but has a slew of unsuccessfully trying to revive dying companies.
I agree with TC on change of course on 7nm. But very poor planning when you are 3+ years into it to abandon it. How much millions down the drain?
I left be cause of reorg and having a Sr manager that only cares about himself rather then the team. Lack of leadership.
“ The only thing TC leads in is the amount of time a CEO spends in the tanning booth.”
Hysterical! TC is also very skilled at the “spin” . Total BS master
Think TC is positioning the company for a long term future? Read up on Tom's short stint (less that 1 year) COO at Ausra Solar. First thing he did was kill their flagship $550M solar farm project (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrizo_Energy_Solar_Farm, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Areva_Solar, https://www.lifograph.com/tom-caulfield) that he called "repositioning" (I guess that was the buzzword back in '09, now it's "pivot", the DA can't even make up his own terms) that led to the eventual "acquisition by a strategic partner" (meaning "sale") within a few months. His stint at Soraa wasn't any better, other than to get the state of NY to build them a $1B fab that they never used.
The only thing TC leads in is the amount of time a CEO spends in the tanning booth.
GloFo is done. The CEO is desperately trying to position the company for sale, as the investors are no longer going to bail out that sinking ship. Nobody will buy it though. Who wants a fab of substandard construction in dreary, expensive upstate NY? No one. That building will be empty in max 3 yrs. Then some redevelopment commission will try to convince someone else to occupy it. My advice? Get out now while you can still sell your house, and there are plenty of jobs. Arizona is beautiful, and the cost of living is half of Albany. My family couldn't be happier with my decision to jump ship.
Intel isn't ready to close the doors GF is lol the only thing GF is positioning for is deletion and the award for the laughing stock of the chip bizz goes to GF a company that hasn't even developed a node let alone fully ramp its big fat tin can fab In Malta. LOL who are you kidding LOL the bums lost. God we are still doing construction I would imagine the next layoff will ax them out of the equation along with some heaps of management and random people in the fab I would imagine why build anything everybody left no partners nothing.
Okay. Sanjay=TC=IBM management=Amatures. Clear? TC could have done better since he became GM. Go sink with your beloved TC. Goodbye!
Okay so Sanjay positioned the company well? How quickly we forget who got us into the financial mess at multiple fabs. TC made a few hard decisions, but they were the right ones. Go chase Moore’s law with intel then.
TC shows extreme ownership??? Ownership for his position? Hahaha. GF doesn’t have blood to bleed. GF is not even close to Intel. Without Samsung’s 14nm, GF disappeared long time back. All amateurs including your TC ruined the company.
Still bitter about Gf leading the way in making intelligent financial decisions? First CEO I’ve seen make decisions this Swift, and show extreme ownership. Notice intel still bleeding out? :)
