Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What’s left to sell?

The customer base and the patent portfolio are the primary assets aren’t they?

The product lines are (1) old or (2) without significant differentiation or (3) supplied by FujiXerox or all three. Not much there to sell. The direct sales organization has been decimated. What’s left of it is jumping ship quickly. The days of a highly trained sharp sales force passed long ago. Not much left there to help a sale. Even the GIS sales organization is showing cracks. Delivery has been gutted. The new management will have to act quickly or even the customer base and it’s associated supply/service revenue will dissipate before they can close a sale. As for the patent portfolio, who knows how to value it? Could it possibly contribute enough for them to make a profit on all they have invested in XRX? As for real estate, I think all the good stuff was sold off years ago; just some junky old buildings in Webster and a few small properties overseas remain.

What else of value is there?

Eh you missed the primary asset

..... XFS..... The market has been waiting for this to be sold off, looked probably a few weeks ago but there seems to be some re-evaluation going on.
