Gotta find another $50million for SM soon after the earnings call. Cant loose such a genius CEO !
Remember, $82 materially undervalued the company, stock with be in the 90s real soon now.
Same old story....the execs got paid. You have to give these guys credit, the one thing they can do is fill their greedy pockets.
Qualcomm is the Sears and Roebuck of the tech space. The modem is the Craftsman tool line. The rest will be shut down and the modem team will be hired by Apple. It's sad but true.
@sth
You are obviously out of touch. As a volunteer in the class of 2018 I can assure you that most of the best people have left Qualcomm already. Also the recruiting of engineering talent tapered off about 5 years ago. The engine has already shut down and the glide ratio (meaning about $30B of cash) is the only thing preventing a tailspin....however this plane is on its way to the ground.
Companies like this can't create value without good engineers. Let's see how the finance and a accounting geniuses pull this out....it's not gonna happen.
Qualcomm was a great company once, but there is a reason the Jacobs family has distanced themselves....they don't want to see the demise or be linked to it...I can't blame them.
We might see another year or so of buybacks and financial engineering but Qualcomm's fate has been sealed.
My estimate is future stock price will be $82 in 2399, maybe 2385 if inflation rate is steady
Broadcom more than priced the near term value of the company, but the long term value in say 2021 is much higher than 82.
I'm still wishing for just $82 per share. Still no idea how that materially undervalued QCOM. We were lied to, and instead told to work 23 hours per day.
Hold on to your but cheeks. We’ In for a bumpy ride. Plop if you must to relieve the stress.
