Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Attrition getting worse

Two people from my team left within a week from each other. Of course, no indications we'll be getting replacements any time soon. I'm happy for them, but guess who needs to pick up the slack?

Might be following after them really soon, to be honest. I don't see situation here improving any time soon.

Use the time to work on your resume and start making connections.

I'm telling you, if you've been there a long time, it can be hard to make a change but it will be worth it.

Or at least use the time to be "ready" if you do get a package.

You can use the two people leaving as your excuse for not picking up the slack, while you work on your resume.

Answer is: You don't have to pick up the slack. No one cares. Spend your time working on your resume, updating skills, and contacting companies/head hunters. That's your job now. Oracle is a lost cause and you are just wasting your time there.

Good for them, no one should have to go through junior high twice. Oracle is a waste of time.

It's good for the people who have escaped. You should escape also. And after all, that's what the guys at the top want, right? Just get yourself out and let the rats be left holding the bag.

Yeah, very good. Then that way with severance money saved, MH can buy a better wig than that monstrosity he wore in OW(I think it was still alive and moving).

This is good. Saves Oracle from having to pay severance later.
