I heard today from a very reliable source that Hans will be announcing the following on the Monday webcast:
1.) 60 week cap is being lifted to get more volunteers. So it will be a true 3 weeks pay for every year of service.
2.) Verizon will be announcing that they are selling off a major business unit.
Will the offer be extended to additional employees who didn't originally get the offer?
Seems to me about new re-org of leadership announcements and focus business units.
I think OPs post is quite mean with so many still struggling with an vsp decision. However, at least we only have a little over a day to know the truth.
1 sounds too good to be true, but it would me amazing it is. Would be hard to pass up now.
Just reorg is all to the spinoff and we are gold. Well Hans will get his gold at least.

But, a major sale would have to be announced to the Market before employees.
I also think (do not know), they are going to have more acceptance then they expected.

They could announce via press release in the morning and then to employees at the Hans call? Not saying I believe the OP but it’s possible. Best of luck to those this would benefit, I just hope they don’t all take it and knock me off the list with my measly 12 years :)

You really don't know what's BS anymore, I read all of the details of this package right here weeks before the announcement so I can only say that I hope OP is correct. This will make all the difference for a lot of us. And, bring VZ closer to the number they are looking for even though they claim there isn't a number. Right.
