Re the lawsuits.....there really are very few that have been lost. And here’s how that has always worked. Attorney sues SF because they are the biggest, baddest target in the industry. IF they win something, then they go to major competitors and say “Here’s what we got from State Farm. How much are you going to settle for to avoid the publicity of a similar lawsuit?”
Sad fact of life when you’re number one by a huge margin.

Seems odd to me that if you are warned for days about potential flooding that you wouldn't move your car to higher ground.

Just another storm. This is what we do.
Also, the winds were downgraded and the real problem has been flooding. That’s FEMA and NFIP, not State Farm.
