I thought it was already. Half the time when I deal with someone from support unless it's third tier I'm dealing with an @Contractor.ca.com person.

I think it depends. The mainframe products are very complex and take years to learn well. Also have to factor in mainframe basic skills like JCL, zOS TSO and others. I dont think Broadcom can dump mainframe support. At least not right away. There would have to be some transfer of knowledge which takes time. Anyone who supports a mainframe product knows you cant just support these products overnight. It takes years to build a solid foundation. If Broadcom wants to get business from CA big mainframe customers they would be better off leaving things the way they are. If mainframe support is whacked then that could jeopardize future potential revenue from these customers. Cant speak on behalf of distrubuted products.
