Confirmed layoffs for FP in November, I was speaking to a reputable HR coworker who said they have already compiled layoff folders for November.

Excellent time to get rid of the useless Directors and management who have only been concerned with saving their own asses over the last 20 years. They spend their days thinking of ridiculous programs to better only themselves costing the company millions.

I heard one supervisor in Facilities. They need to get rid of that Director of Facilities $3 bill. He’s useless.

More layoffs today at FP. Expect 60 or more in November. FP will be swallowed in whole by Mattel.
A “reputable HR worker”?! Those are 3 words that don’t EVER go together - not at Mattel and not anywhere. HR is are the executors of illegal age and s-xual discrimination under the dark cloak of “at Will” employment. Puffy little “Will” Robinson is ES is the worst of the group.

It's hard to imagine how the FP brand is going to fit into the Mattel Expanded Cinematic Universe, so what's even the point? Might as well shut FP down now.
How else are they going to pay for the new execs?
I don't know if ES will be hit as well, this worker was only at EA so I would imagine they only compiled folders for EA.
If EA getting hit then definitely ES will be hit. Question is how badly.
To the OP, do you know if layoffs will be happening at the El Segundo campus, too?
Was not old enough during last retirement package go round (50+) but am now! Would love for it to be offered again! Wishful thinking I know.
They didnt say how many folders they put together but if I can find out, I will post again.

One of the replies questions my use of the word "reputable"....be skeptical if you want to be delusional, but this person has nothing to lose and no reason to lie - they've already been laid off.

At the last Town Hall the message from Senior Leadership couldn't have been more clear, the business has dramatically improved compared with 2017 and things are finally turning around. It would be very surprising to see any more layoffs this year, unless of course the CEO and his team are bullsh*ting everyone.
