I guess I can only speak for the US but services is absolutely split by BU. There are direct reports to the Kellie for each BU, and in some cases more than one splitting products in the BU.

Splitting people is easy. We all have a primary and secondary product in our profiles, they use that to say where a person would go. Where there is ambiguity the delivery director could make the determination.

I beg to differ. From an organizational structure standpoint, services is a centralized entity despite most of us not cross BU trained in different products. At least in my region, there is no clear defined role for each product specialization. The problem will come when the day the products are sold separately, there is no way to split services the same way as BU or products

Services is not a centralized entity. Not even close.

Once you get below the national leader services is broken down almost to a product level. Very few people know products across BUs lsu so one between multiple products in a single BU.

The problem I see is services is a centralized entity, but Broadcom will definitely split up the various products and sell them separately. I don't see how they are able to break up services to be tagged along with the products this way

No enterprise software company exists without services. It may change, but they won't be gone.

If they shut down services immediately, what's going to happen to existing customers engagements? Wouldn't the customers sue CA for breaking the services contracts?

Hahaha. No.

Octane and the CFO of Broadcom have explicitly stated to analysts that it’ll be shutdown or sold immediately.
